Gynecology Services Now Available at LRMC Rockdale for Scott & White Plan Participants

Rockdale, Texas (June 16, 2008) – Doctors Daniel Dawson, MD and David Doss, MD are now available to see Scott & White Health Plan participants at Little River Medical Clinic – Rockdale.  Participants of the Scott & White Health Insurance Plan are not required to have a referral from their Primary Care Provider to schedule a routine gynecological visit with Dr. Dawson and Dr. Doss.

Dr. Daniel DawsonDr. Daniel Dawson received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, College Station. He moved on to Baylor College of Medicine in Houston where he received his Doctor of Medicine.  Dr. Dawson completed his residency at UT Southwestern Medical School and Parkland Hospital in Dallas.  He has served as President of the Bryan/College Station Chapter of the March of Dimes and of The Prenatal Clinic.  He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Brazos-Robertson County Medical Society.  Dr. Dawson’s special medical interests include infertility, advanced laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and pelvic surgery, along with general ob/gyn practice.  He is an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and father.  Dr. Dawson resides in the Bryan/College Station area with his wife and two sons.

Dr. David DossDr. David Doss is a Fort Worth, Texas native.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.  He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Paul Medical Center and Parkland Hospital in Dallas.  Dr. Doss is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He is also a member of the Brazos-Robertson County Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association.  Dr Doss resides in the Bryan/College Station area with his wife and three children.

Dr. Dawson and Dr. Doss travel from Brazos Valley Women’s Center in Bryan/College Station to see patients for gynecological care in Rockdale.  In addition to well-woman exams, Drs. Dawson and Doss are also available to perform procedures including permanent sterilization, IUD placement, surgical treatment for incontinence, endometrial oblation, minimally invasive hysterectomy’s, and evaluation and treatment of abnormal pap smears.

In addition to gynecological services, there are plans to begin prenatal services at Little River Medical Clinic – Rockdale in the near future.  Dr. Dawson and Dr. Doss will provide prenatal care at LRMC – Rockdale, with babies being delivered in Bryan / College Station.  Christy S. Easley, RN, CPNP is also available to see babies for well baby care at LRMC – Rockdale.  These services will provide excellent care, close to home, saving time and decreasing travel costs for patients.
