Orthopedics, Pediatrics Available Full-Time at Little River Healthcare System Rockdale, Texas (June 9, 2008) – Little River Healthcare is proud to announce the addition of two full-time specialists to the LRHS team of healthcare providers. In addition to the 15 lines of specialty care currently available, Little River Healthcare System is now offering full-time care in the areas of orthopedics and pediatrics.
Dr. Nordyke and his surgical team will be offering a wide range of orthopedic services, including arthroscopic outpatient surgery, endoscopic carpal tunnel release, and arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Arthroscopic surgeries provide the opportunity for outpatient surgery, decreased suffering and a quicker recovery, improved cosmetic results, and functional results equal to or better than traditional surgery. In addition, Dr. Nordyke will be focusing on sports medicine arthroscopy injuries, tendon and ligament repair, including ACL and meniscus repair, and simple fractures. In addition to his orthopedic practice, Dr. Nordyke enjoys working with local high schools and colleges as a team physician. He has served as team physician for numerous high schools and colleges. “I am very excited to bring full-time orthopedics to Rockdale and the surrounding communities and I look forward to working with the local schools and employers, developing a working relationship to foster healthy work and recreational environments” stated Mark D.
